I was looking for something to hold piano/guitar music, and this works very well for that. It seems very sturdy, and holds a decent amount. I did notice the roughness that some other people had mentioned, and I can see how it might catch newspapers or other lightweight pieces of paper. However, for my purpose it is exactly what I needed.

This is sturdy and holds more than I expected. Great for magazines and kids books that always seem to be collecting on the coffee table.
